Obituary of Dewanna Paulette Sasser

Funeral services for Ms. Dewanna Paulette Sasser are scheduled for 2 PM Friday, January 8, 2021, at Goodwill Church of God with Bro. David Ford and Bro. Glen Edmondson officiating. Interment will follow in Redwing Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 7, 2020, from 6 PM - 8 PM at the church. Ms. Sasser, a member of Goodwill Church of God, passed away January 5, 2021, at the age of forty-five. She loved her church family very much and enjoyed traveling. Ms. Sasser worked as a nurse and spread God’s word by witnessing to her patients. She is survived by her parents, Donald and Beth Sasser; sisters, Candy Neathery and husband Patrick, Sherri Sasser; nephew, Tyler Neathery; niece, Emily Neathery; Godson, Jimmy Guice; a host of specially loved aunts, uncles, and cousins; a special church family, including the bible study ladies and her friends in Tennessee; and her constant four legged companions, Tag and Rascal. Ms. Sasser is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Dallas and Louella Sasser; maternal grandparents, JB and Juanita Sumrall; and cousins, Christy Sumrall and Allen Fife. Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Stover, Neil Sumrall, Joe Sumrall, Eric Brown, Jimmy Guice, William Barnes, Russell Miles, and Mark Cleghorn. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Stover, Daniel Stover, Boyd Stover, Jack Libby, and Cody Stover. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to : Rockvale Church of God in Rockvale, TN, or to the American Kidney Foundation.
