Grandma Mildred you were the kindest spirit and you loved with all your heart. My fondest memory was when my brother and I spent a week over the summer with you when we were probably 8 and 9 and you taught us how to play skipbo. We laughed and played all day long. I love you and miss you but I know I will see you again in Heaven. ❤️ Love Brandie

oh my goodness Mrs Mildred. She was on that rural route with the book mobile for Morehouse Parish Library when I was a child growing up on Cain Rd. How I looked forward to Mrs Mildred and her co worker bringing that wonderful world of reading to a child.
She befriended my mother and when the blackberries ripened in the summer we all went berry picking on Elvin Cain Rd.She was a treasure and I recall in my mind her beautiful smiling face , such a long time ago 65 years. My condolences to her family, prayers for the comfort of precious memories. The Comforter is come.

To the family and close friends of Mildred, please accept my sincere, humble, heartfelt condolences over the temporary loss of your loved one. I met Ms Mildred a few years ago at her home in Monroe. She greeted and treated me like I was a family friend for years. And even though I didn't see her that often, I cared for her deeply. I've never seen a daughter and a son more dedicated to the care of their Mother than Cherry and Bill. You did everything God wanted, expected and commanded of children to love, honor and care for an aging parent. God will richly bless you both for your commitment to your Mother. The promise from Almighty God of being reunited to those who have gone on before us is not an empty, shallow promise for those who are saved by the grace and mercy of Christ. We will be reunited in Heaven or at the rapture of the church. What a glorious Homecoming that will be. You have my deepest respect and admiration.
