Funeral services for Mr. Donald L. Boyd are scheduled for 10 AM Thursday, June 24, 2021 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Loveday officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Boyd, a retired Millwright from International Paper Company, passed away Friday, June 18, 2021 at the age of seventy-seven. He was a Christian who served in First Baptist Collinston and in other Baptist Churches. Mr. Boyd was a very giving person and a hard worker, who read a lot about health. He also served his country as a United States Army veteran during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by daughters, Stephanie Edwards and husband Michael, Cheri Caldwell; step-daughter, Evelyn Kraemer and husband Bob; grandchildren, Caleb Edwards, Seth Edwards, Madalyn Caldwell, Ashton Caldwell, Joshua Caldwell; step-grandchildren, Scott Mann, Kimberly Head, Randy Frost, Jr.; and numerous great grandchildren.
Mr. Boyd is preceded in death by his wife, Hilde Boyd; and half-sister, Sylvia Roberts.
The family will receive friends from 9 AM until service time.
Serving the family as pallbearers are Caleb Edwards, Seth Edwards, Joshua Caldwell, Michael Edwards, Chris Carter, and Jon Paul Carter.
