Sally, and family, I was so sad to learn today that our first cousin (to us reared in Bastrop, always "Jimmy Todd") had died. I was, however, so happy to learn that you both were able to visit our grandmother Todd's homestead in Princess Anne, Maryland, something I am certain was thrilling. Aunt Ruth and Mother and I stopped there, the summer before my last year in law school, now many years ago. I send my love and affection to you all, from the rural Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
