Obituary of Gerald Kilpatrick

Funeral services for Mr. Gerald Kilpatrick, age 86, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, February 11, 2022 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Bodie Spicer officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Kilpatrick, a retired employee of IMC and Louisiana Gas passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022. He also worked for the Morehouse Parish Sheriff’s office and was a member of Faith Baptist Church. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Mr. Kilpatrick is survived by two daughters, Terri Young, Donna Moncrief and husband Mike; sister, Joyce McDonald and husband Jerry; four grandchildren, Heather Nordan and husband Clint, Patrick Golden and Brittney, Jessica Rosenberg, Aaron Rosenberg; eight great grandchildren, Brody Evans, Jett Evans, Beckett Nordan, Tyler Nordan, Conner Nordan, Ariana Golden, Brayden Golden and Ava Stephens. He is preceded in death by his father, Henry Kilpatrick, Mother, Rachel Knott and a daughter, Geralyn Kilpatrick Rushing. Serving as pallbearers are: Jerry McDonald, Dr. Brent McDonald, Edward Haltom, Patrick Golden, Kayne Coody and Aaron Rosenberg. Honorary pallbearers are: Dr. John Ziegler, Martin Rodgers, Rip Rich and Charles Sisk. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Susan G. Komen, Pilots for Patients, St. Jude or your favorite charity.
