Obituary of Michael Dustin Sebren

Funeral services for Mr. Michael Dustin Sebren, age 41, of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2022 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Revs. Jerry Stuckey and Barry Brister officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Friday at Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Sebren was retired from the United States Army where he served from 2005-2009, as an Infantryman stationed in Ft. Hood, TX and overseas in Iraq. He was a wounded warrior and received many medals for his conduct and bravery. Outside of his military service Dustin was most proud of his son and being a father. He also loved hunting and fishing. To know him was to love him. He was a very kind hearted person and had a huge personality. Dustin had a servant’s heart and would help anyone and everyone.
He is survived by his son, Oliver Edinger Sebren; father, Michael W. Sebren; stepmother, Tammy Sebren; grandparents, Bernice Sullivan and Walter Lester; sisters, Sabra Pumfrey and husband Nick, April DeNova and husband Sammy; brothers, Chase Sebren and wife Rachel, Cody King and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Sebren is preceded in death by his mother, Cathy Lynn Lester and grandfather, John Sullivan.
Serving as pallbearers are: Dusty Deere, Kevin Riles, Keith Riles, Blake White, Sammy DeNova, Ryan Kincaid, Micah White, and Bubba Barfield.
