It’s been 10 days since mom passed away. I had a difficult time at first and cried so much but now I’m doing a lot better. I feel like mom is with me in spirit, in my heart and thoughts and her thoughts toward me are love, forgiveness, acceptance and in no way condemning, She’s here with me encouraging me on. When I see the flowers I planted, the ones I got from her, I can almost sense her enjoyment. When I cook the meals she used to cook, I can feel her presence encouraging me on. There’s no separation in the Spirit. Mom is not far away from me; she is present in my life. This has taken away my sadness and filled my heart with gladness.
Oh death, where is your sting, oh grave, where is your victory … for the sting of death is sin and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God who gives us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. The body returns to dust but the spirit returns to God. For to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
Mom has joined the great cloud of witnesses and is very much alive and well. I don’t think of her as being far away but someone who is very near encouraging me on to run my race as she ran hers.
With heartfelt love and devotion,
Gail MCQuade, her loving daughter and best friend.

Thank you, Rita, for your kind words about mom. She spoke highly of you and Jerry and enjoyed many years at Trinity Assembly. She was a special person and able to express her love so easily. Although she is no longer with us in a physical way, I feel she is with me in the spirit continuing to love and encourage me. Thank you for being a good neighbor and attending her memorial service. She would be so happy and grateful that you were there.

Mrs. Vivian was like a family member to my family
I loved her all my life. I would go to her mother's house and pick and shell peas and Mrs. Vivian and her kids would come to help. We would gather around out in the shade and shell peas till all were shelled. Then we would go in the house and clean them and get them ready to can. Oh the fun we had shelling and talking. Those days are gone now but the memories linger on. Vivian was such a loving lady and she will be missed.

Thank you for your kind words, George. Mom always spoke highly of you and thought you were so intelligent. Some of the best years of her life were spent working at City Hall with you, Mayor Bond, Tina, Ella and everyone else. I heard so many funny stories. It was definitely a special time for her.

Mrs. Mann was one of our sweetest patients at Dr Garrett’s office. She was always happy and loved telling about her grandsons. Now she is happy in heaven! Prayers for David and the rest of the family!

Thank you, Keri, for your kind words about mom. She was the sweetest person you would ever meet and her grandsons were her pride and joy. She was also a great grandmother and enjoyed them as well. I’m sure she thought highly of you and Dr. Garrett. Thank you for caring for her all those years.
