In the presence of the Lord, Steve has found eternal peace. His faith was underlined in his everyday actions, a spirited gentle soul ever full of thoughtfulness and optimism. Meeting him in Bastrop and witnessing that radiant smile as he lovingly curated jewelry brought joy to many. A man whose selfless heart radiated Christ's love will be truly missed but stays forever cherished in our hearts.

Steve will be missed. I met him a day or two after he came to Bastrop. He's been kind to me always, a good jeweler, and friend. I still can't believe he is no longer with us.

When I read Steve's obituary, it isn't real to me yet. I can't seem to wrap my head around it all.
I had such a deep respect for Steve, for what he stood for, his beliefs, and his frienship through the years. I will forever be thankful that the Lord blessed me with these sweet memories.
Praying for Sandy, Meredith and Tim and for all who loved him. That is a lot of people!

I met Steve in high school. His family moved to Taylor, Arkansas from Homer Louisiana. Taylor was a small town where we knew everyone. Steve was a standout with his personality and wit and was liked by all. He was a most valuable basketball player as you could imagine based on his height. He had skills on the court too. He and I worked together hauling some hay and for a general Contractor as teenagers making us a little money. I remember when Steve went to Jewelers school in Texas. I always knew he would be successful at whatever he did ! Most people don’t know that he bought that jewelry store at 19 years of age. To do what he has done from that age let’s me know he was the package. He was a great friend and knowing he is no longer in Bastrop saddens me. They don’t make many like Steve and I am glad to have known him and to be able to call him a friend ! RIP Buddy !

I had the privilege to work with Steve on multiple real estate projects over the last several years, and he was a wonderful man to work with. I always enjoyed our conversations. He showed such graciousness and respect in the way he treated others as well as how he conducted business. He is a great example for others. I am grateful and honored to have known him. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

I first met Steve in 2021, when his property in Jacksonville, Ar. was being built. Like most true Louisiana people do, we instantly started joking about North vs. South Louisiana, and ever since then, when we talked about any of his properties in North Louisiana, he would joke and say “sorry, South Arkansas.”
Even though I knew Steve for 2 short years, he was the nicest man I’ve ever met. No one was a stranger to him, and he would always give his personal number to applicants and residents. As busy as he was, he would never take a phone call while he was talking to you face to face. He always showed appreciation for the smallest things. I am so lucky to have been able to work for him. He will be missed dearly.
My thoughts are with his family, who he always spoke of so lovingly.

This bright young man walked into Young’s Jewelry in late 1970’s to meet with my dad, Bill Young. His reason was the interest in purchasing the store. My dad was entering retirement. After several visits dad was very impressed with Steve Perry, his creativeness, business skills and his Faith. They made a deal, dad and mom retired, and eventually moved near me at Hideaway Lake, near Tyler, TX. Steve kept the store in its original place in the Square for several years. When the city began giving downtown an uplift, Steve moved the business across the street. My brother, Tom Young visited Steve and the store on trips there and was always greeted warmly by Steve Perry. We are very sorry to learn of his passing and offer prayers of comfort and peace for his wife and family. He will be in our family’s memory always.

I met Steve when he came down to do a site visit to Denham Springs months ago. A tall stature of a man with the brightest smile, bubbly sense of humor, energetic yet calm spirit, with nothing but words of encouragement pouring from him.
I am sorry to learn of his passing, yet also glad that I had the pleasure of being acquainted with him. I'm praying for your, strength family.
Although no words will be comforting, know that he will be missed by so many. Steve can finally rest, free from pain and illness, in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

So very thankful for the way Steve operated his business. Not only producing beautiful and memorable jewelry, but adding the personal touch to the sale of it. I'm thankful that he and Heath got together and made plans to allow the two of us entry/access to engagement jewelry after hours and making it part of my proposal! It was more than a diamond sale to Steve, it was creating a memory that I'll cherish forever!

It was a privilege to have worked for Mr. Steve at the jewelry store. I will cherish all the "cuttin' up and carryin' on" and joking around we did, but most of all, I will cherish the memories of Mr. Steve talking to me about getting in church and living for the Lord. He was a godly example in my life when I really needed it, and I will be eternally grateful for it. Mrs. Sandy and Meredith, you are some of the sweetest people I have been honored to know! I am praying for you all and the Perry family.

Mr. Perry created my wedding ring remake on our 25th Anniversary. He listened to what I wanted and created the most beautiful ring for me. I think about how talented he was every time I look at my ring. Mr. Perry was a good Christian man; our prayers are for the comfort of his family. He will be missed in Bastrop by all. RIP

I met Steve when he became my next-door neighbor on Eastwood Dr so many years ago that it is impossible to remember exactly when. I was blessed to know him and Sandy and when Meredith came along I babysat for them. Love this family with all my heart and am blessed to know them. Steve graciously agreed to be one of the pall bearers when I lost my husband. Rest in Peace, Steve, in the loving arms of our Savior.

This news breaks my heart. There isn't a better man, husband, or father than Steve Perry on this earth. During my teaching years spent with Meredith, it was obvious every day how she adored, loved, honored, and respected her daddy. He was always there if we needed anything, even when I told him Meredith had her dream car picked out. He emailed us a pic of an old broke down rusted car, laughing and saying that was what she was getting. I'm sure she got the one she wanted. He had such a sense of humor.
I cannot begin to imagine how much Sandy and Meredith will miss him. He was their loving, steadfast rock, a man of honor and integrity. My heart truly goes out to you both.
With love and sadness,
Mrs. Kim

So many great memories hanging out with Steve and water-skiing trips. Still remember he skied on an EP brand. Don’t know why I remember that. Mostly, I remember that he was a kind gentleman and professional both in business and in person. I treasure the conversation we had just before he had to go back to the hospital. The conversation moved to us talking about the Lord and how He had so blessed our lives. I will truly miss you, my friend. From our conversation I know you are now in the Lord's presence. I’ll see you again one day. Love you.
