Cathy Edwards I am so sorry for the loss of your husband me and your brother tom are praying for you and the family.
I heard so many good things about Mr. Edwards. Tom said he remembers about how he liked to spend time with his family and how he liked to work in the yard, and he was a good brother-in-law.
Tom said Mr. Edwards liked to fish.
I never heard anything bad about him.
Cathy, if there is anything me or Tom can do we are here for you and the family y'all are in our thoughts and prayers.

I had the pleasure of meeting Earl at Cathy’s Aunt Pearl’s house in Bastrop, TX. We all hung out sharing stories, had lots of laughs, we discussed our pets, we talked about gardening and enjoyed a few delicious meals as a family. Earl was soft spoken and very kind. I will never forget the big hug he gave before they left to head back home and the kind things he said about me.
Cathy, my heart goes out to you. I am keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. Sending you big hugs and lots of love.

Earl was the best brother-in-law that I could have asked for. I have known him for 40+ years, since I was 12 years old. I would come to his house in the summers, we would go out in the boat and fish. He took me to a car show, had the best time. We dug potatoes from the HUGE garden he had. There were so many fun times, cannot list them all. But will always be great memories. I will miss you Earl!!! I hope you and Dennis stay out of trouble!

THE GARDEN
If tears could build a stairway
And memories a lane
We'd walk right up to Heaven
And bring you back again
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you did not go alone
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home
God looked around His garden
And He found an empty place
Then He looked down upon the earth
And He saw your precious face
He put His arms around you
And He lifted you to rest
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best
Yes, He always takes the best
We knew that you were suffering
We knew you were in pain
We knew you'd never get well
On this earth again
So He closed your weary eyes and
He whispered, "Peace be thine."
Then He took you up to heaven
So gentle, so kind
God looked around His garden
And He found an empty place
Then He looked down upon the earth
And He saw your precious face
He put His arms around you
And He lifted you to rest
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best
Oh, God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best

I couldn't have asked for a better papaw. He gave me the best childhood memories. I remember all our days in the boat fishing, and the many hooks I hooked him with. Days of watching him fix his tractors and riding with him on it to clear land. He taught me everything. He will always be loved and never forgotten. I love you pappaw

So many amazing memories with papaw! Christmas time was always the best watching westerns and seeing what Santa brought. Always an adventure with him and Kaleb never know what kind of trouble they would get into. From staying over for summer break and swimming all day or riding the tractor. I'm so blessed to be apart of this family and carry on the Edwards last name. ❤️

My lasting memory of Earl is sitting on my deck at my home in Bastrop Texas talking to Earl about our lives many years ago. I can still remember the wonderful aroma of his ever present pipe. He was a wonderful, kind and loving husband to my beautiful niece Cathy.

My papaw Earl was the best anyone could ask for. He didn’t even have to say words, and I was still confident he was there for us and would do anything for his people.
