Obituary of Rose Anne Brewton George

Rose Anne Brewton George passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at her home in Collinston, Louisiana. She was 66 years old. She is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Mike. She was preceded in death by her parents, Douglas Festus Brewton and Mildred Ware Shackelford, daughter Lindsay Anne George, and brother Douglas Brewton Jr. There are many who remain to treasure her memory, including her cherished children Erin Jarrell and husband Dustin of Lake Charles, Christine Sanders and husband Garrett of Baton Rouge, and Dr. Douglas George and wife Brittny of Metairie. Her six precious grandchildren, Emma, Callie and Laura Jarrell, Parker and Elliott Sanders, and Connor George. Rose Anne is also survived by her sister, Mary Nelda Floyd. She is remembered with affection by her countless friends and co-workers she met during her 35 year career as a Registered Nurse. The George family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses of MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Rose Anne was an ardent LSU Tiger and New Orleans Saints fan. You could always find her with a cup of coffee or Diet Coke in her hand enjoying family and friends, or simply relaxing at the beach on her balcony. Rose Anne treasured her time spent with Mike traveling all over the world and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Family and friends are invited to gather for a Celebration of Life Service at The Norsworthy Farm at 6708 Norsworthy Rd., Collinston, Louisiana Saturday, September 16th at 9:30 am .
