I appreciate everything Mr. James and his family did for Nana (Jobie Clark). He was a wonderful man and always smiling. I drove him to Shreveport to see Nana at the end of her life. We talked about both couples pulling their trailers and going to the parks. We talked all the way from West Monroe to Shreveport and back. While my mom (Charlotte) napped in the back of the vehicle. He also talked about his family that he was so grateful and proud to have in his life. I understand one picture is not so clear, but it shows Mr. James taking care of my Nana. This was during COVID and she did not understand why I could not come to see her. Thank you and we loved Mr. James.

This is Clarence Lindsay and my first memory of meeting Mr James Earl Freeland was when he had the Freeland Gro. at Cooper Lake Rd. and Cherry Ridge crossroads.
I already knew some of his brothers.
I learned to love and respect him and enjoyed his family as they sing and ministered in song over the past years.
More recently I’ve enjoyed singing and sharing my songs and music at “ Savannah Court” . James Earl always was a joy and a participant in singing along and had a very good deep bass voice! I have missed him the past two months in my visits where he was residing.
All of you family and friends have an additional child of God to look forward to seeing again in our ETERNAL home. He has joined the other family members that preceded him!
I’ll see him again and so will those that have made Jesus, “Lord and Savior”

I have such fond memories of Freeland's Grocery Store on Cooper Lake Road, as kids it was a treat to ride our bikes to the store, and trade in coke bottles for penny candies and an Icee.
My sincere condolences to the family.

I was blessed to be Bro. Freeland's pastor for a few years at First Assembly of God. He was a special part of the church family in leadership positions. I know he will be missed by family and friends.
