Ron was such a dear friend. Dianne and I grew up together so when she married Ron it was an instant friendship. Ron was best friends and golfing buddy with my Dad. In recalling memories of interactions with Ron one stands out above many. Just after Mike I became pastors at Bastrop first Assembly we had a church fellowship/cook out at chemin-a-haute park. The football game among the men was always a highlight. Mike and Ron were on opposite teams. Both men were very competitive but after a few abrupt meetings on the field they became best friends and talked and laughter about it every time they got together. We loved Ron deeply and will greatly miss him. His laughter, his joy and his strength. We have a confident assurance that he has won and is shouting the victory with the Lord.

Diane and Family, sorry to hear about Ron. I know he will be missed. Loved the story about how the two of you met and stayed happily married for 51 years. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Ronnie always made me smile. Some of the more cherished memories of my teenage years were spent with Diane and Ron. Loved riding around in his orange Corvette. I didn’t always feel that I fit in at church but Ron and Diane always made me feel special and that they really cared. Heaven gained a special person and we are left with just the memories. He was truly a special guy who loved and treated everyone with a caring heart. Love ❤️ and prayers to the family. You hold a special place in my heart.

The Lord called home a truly amazing man in my uncle Ronnie. He was someone I looked up to and called a role model. I am blessed to have known him and call him family. Rest easy, uncle Ronnie. To the rest of the family, I love you guys and you are in my prayers. I am truly sorry for your loss. I'm here to help in any capacity if needed.

Needless to say, words do not come to mind of all the things we could say about Ron. The many hours we spent together in construction of First Assembly will never be forgotten. Neither will the mission's trip to Honduras. I can imagine what heaven is like with its new resident. Family, you are in our prayers in the season of your lives. Wish we could be there with you and to put our arms around you. You all are loved by Dora and me.
