Funeral services for Mrs. Carlene Mayhall are scheduled for 10 AM Tuesday, August 6, 2024 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Jason Strong officiating. A time of visitation will be held Tuesday from 9 AM - 10 AM prior to the service at Goldens.
Mrs. Mayhall passed away Saturday, August 3, 2024 at the age of eighty-eight. She was a member of First Church of God where she sang in the choir and also sang solos. Mrs. Mayhall retired from Morehouse General Hospital after forty three years of service. She enjoyed being outdoors and loved tending to her flowers and flowerbeds.
She is survived by her sons, Cliff Hornbeak of Florence, MS, Carl Hornbeak and wife, Renee of McComb, MS; sister, Evonne Reynolds of Bastrop, LA; grandchildren, Hunter Hornbeak, Anna Sharp; great grandchildren, Hudson Hornbeak, Adrienne Mercer, Dominick Bray, Luke Bray, Sophia Torrecillas, Danica Sharp, Toby Sharp; and great great grandchild, Zeke Mercer.
Mrs. Mayhall is preceded in death by her husband, Percy Mayhall; step children, Ricky Mayhall and Sherri Mayhall; granddaughter, Brandy Magnitzky; parents, Carl and Amanda Green; and sister, Helen Tarver.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Kevin Reynolds, Keith Reynolds, Hunter Hornbeak, Grant McKnight, Carson Marcental, and Van Elkins.
