Funeral services for Melissa Carol “Missi” Sliger are scheduled for 2 pm Wednesday, October 2, 2024 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Travis Arrant officiating. A time of visitation will be held Wednesday, October2 from 1 PM - 2PM service time at Goldens.
Ms. Sliger, a homemaker, passed away Monday, September 30, 2024 at the age of fifty-four. She was a member of Christ Church of West Monroe. She loved her family, especially her granddaughter, Melina, Marilyn Monroe, Betty Boop, and Dragonflies. Missi enjoyed tending to her potted plants and listening to music especially classic rock.
She is survived by her parents, C.L. and Linda Mayberry; grandmother, Ruth Mayberry; daughter, Iris Taylor and husband, Jake; sisters, Julia Carroll and husband, Kary, Liz Purdy and husband, Jamie, Angel Lackey; brother, James Darrell Anzelmo; granddaughter, Melina Ferguson; nieces and nephews, Julianna Skeens, Bobby Putman, Mandy Putman, Caleb Clingen, Katie Urehek, Karlie Guess, Jackie Hodges, Cade Lackey, Sloan Lackey, and Reese Lackey.
Ms. Sliger is preceded in death by her dad, Anthony Anzelmo; grandparents, Buck and Bobbie Lively, R.L. Mayberry, and Phillip and Annette Anzelmo.
Serving the family as honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Putman, Jamie Purdy, Mike Skeens, Kary Carroll, Brandon Tully, Brandon McCain, and Caleb Clingen.
