Jerry was a kind soul with a servant's heart. I am thankful for all the visits he made to see my mom (his Aunt Lib) and my family. He loved looking at old family pictures and hearing my mom tell family stories. My thoughts and prayers are with the family as Jerry will be missed.
Love,
Kay Bennett

Jerrell and I first met in March of 2019. I had organized a small float on the Caddo near Hot Springs, AR. God immediately brought us together and we started talking. I was a little over a year into my sobriety and he was always one of my biggest cheerleaders. He was also an ear when I needed one, didn't matter what time it was. He was also there for me when I lost both my moms in 2022.
I'd like you to know that every time he came to see me, he always gave me updates on "my babies" because he was always so proud of them. He also hoped to one day get me to Louisiana to meet his beloved family.
Please accept my sincere condolences and know that he loved you all dearly. Losing a parent is never easy and I know it feels like the world is crumbling but it does get easier. Not necessarily better, just easier. Share your favorite memories with each other and celebrate his life, he'd not want you to mourn too long and he will always be just over your left shoulder should you need him.
Regards,
Tim "other son" Radtke.

Jerrell and I worked together for 37 years. I can't believe he's gone. We used to share stories with everyone about our careers at IP and in Saint Francisville. Then we both ended up in West Monroe with GPI. He retired back in February and the last conversation we had was about a month ago and him telling me how much he was enjoying it. Rest in peace my friend, we are all praying for your family.

One of the best men I’ve ever known, a wonderful husband and father and grandfather as well as a beloved dear friend from High School. He and Betty Sue set the bar high for what matters most in life.
