Obituary of Jerrell "Jerry" May

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Jerrell “Jerry” May, age 67, are scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Pine Grove South Cemetery with Bro. Jeff May officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 7 PM Monday evening, November 25 at Goldens. Mr. May, retired employee of Graphic Packaging, was known for having the heart of a servant, as shown through his active service in the Care and Hope Ministry and volunteering with The Salvation Army in the past. He was a member of the Baptist faith, he loved kayaking as well as refinishing furniture. He dearly loved his family, especially Betty Sue, his children and his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Betty Sue May; daughter, Amber West and husband, Frank; sons, Kaleb May and wife, Rebecca, and Kelly May; sister, Vanessa Popik; grandchildren, Mary Beth Johnson, Roland Johnson, Kayleigh Johnson, Hannah Trahan, Lexi West and Raiden Bell and great grandson, Denver West. Mr. May is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Elizabeth May and his brother, Wendell May.
